It is with deep regret that I inform you that Brother Willie Rice, Jr., the father of our member, Deacon Willie Rice III, passed today. Please keep Deacon and Sister Rice,  Brother and Sister Ruger, and the rest of their family in our prayers.  I continue to ask you to keep Sister Keisha Gibson, who was released from the hospital on today, Brother James Edwards, others who are sick, and one another is our prayers.

Parents and grandparents, Youth Church will be held via Zoom Sunday morning at 10:00am and Adult Sunday School and Worship Service at 11:00am.   Our Sunday school lesson will come from: Acts 16:11-15, 40 and 1 Corinthians 1:26-30.
 
This is our Black History Finale and you do not want to miss it.  Also, please wear your African attire as we Zoom in on Sunday.
 
Perishables including white potatoes, and other food items will be available and distributed safely on Sunday for members - compliments of Brother and Sister Green. 
 
We plan to go out and feed approximately 200+ of our homeless brothers and sisters in the morning - rain or shine at 9:00am.  For safety, only a couple of people will be able to ride the van; all others will need to follow us in your personal vehicles or meet us.  Please call for directions.
 
Please continue to pray for our new member, Brother James Edwards, his wife, his son, and his mother - our member- Sister Patricia Edwards.
 
Also, let us pray for our member Sister Keisha Gibson who was hospitalized today, her mother Sister Nell Cooley, her children, and her family.

The GBMC of Georgia's Virtual Adjourned Session begins today, Monday February 22, and ends tomorrow night, Tuesday February 23rd.  This session consists of the installation of the new State President and his cabinet, to include the new District Presidents, in which they will announce our new 5th District President on today. You do not want to miss this!  There will be a Worship Service each night at 7pm with two dynamic preachers, Reverend Breonus M. Mitchell from Nashville, TN, and Reverend Sedric Veal, Sr. from Cleveland, OH.  Also, Communion will be held during the Tuesday night service, so please prepare your bread or cracker and some juice.  Please go to GMBC.org or you may go to Mt. Parents and grandparents, Children’s Church will be held via Zoom in the morning at 10:00am and Adult Sunday School and Worship Service at 11:00am.   
Our Sunday school lesson will come from:  Acts 18:1-3, 18-21, 24-26 and Romans 16:3-4.
 
We will have a recognition program tomorrow for our youth for their attendance in Sunday School and Bible study.  Parents may drive through between 10:30-1pm to receive their awards and gifts.  A great line and a special message is planned for tomorrow. Let’s us Zoom in and support our youth, young adults, and participants as we observe Black History Month.
 
We will go out and feed the homeless on next Sat., Feb 27th.  We still need your donation, and please bring your coats tomorrow for us to give out to the homeless on next Saturday.
 
Please pray for our new member, brother James Edwards who is ill and rejoined Mt. Zion this week, and was extended the right hand of fellowship by your pastor.  Let us keep James, his wife, his son, and his mother our member, Sister Patricia Edwards, and his family in our prayers.
 
Let us keep Sister Carolyn Hill in prayer- her sister has passed.

We praise God that Deacon Allen was released from the hospital and is recuperating at home.

Also Mt. Zion, I ask you to pray for the son of our member - Sister Patricia Edwards; her son, James Edwards, is ill.

Let us continue to pray for Deacon and Sister Allen, James, his wife, his mother and family, others who are sick and convalescing at home or nursing homes, as well as one another.

Parents and Grandparents - Children’s Church will be held via Zoom in the morning at 10:00am and adult Sunday School and Worship Service at 11:00am.   
Our Sunday School lesson will come from:  Luke 8:1-3; Mark 15:40 and John 20:10-18, “Called to Support”
 
We will continue our Black History observance on tomorrow and throughout the month of February.  We will also observe Heart Health.  Let’s support our Health Ministry and wear red as we zoom in on tomorrow.
 
Tomorrow is 2nd Sunday- Communion Sunday.  Please set aside a piece of bread or cracker and some juice so that you may participate in the Lord’s Supper to remember His sacrifice for us.
 
We will go out and feed the homeless on Sat., Feb 27th. We are asking you to give a donation towards this effort and bring coats tomorrow and next Sunday for us to give out. 
 
Please keep Deacon Jackie Allen in prayer - he was involved in a car accident and has been hospitalized.  Let us keep him, Sister Allen and their family, our bereaved families, our sick, our world, and one another in our prayers.

Parents and Grandparents - Youth Bible Study will be held tomorrow at 6:30pm. Lesson topic "Follow God."  Key learning verses from Ephesians 5:1-2.  Adult Bible Study will be held at 12Noon and 7pm.  We will continue our series on the 4th Fruit of the Spirit - “Longsuffering” from 2 Peter 3:8-18

We are planning to go out to feed and give to the homleless on Saturday, February 27th.  Mt. Zion, God's desire is for us is to take care of the least of these, and we greatly need your help.  We plan to give hats, socks, gloves, blankets, and sack lunches.  We are going to purchase these items in bulk to minimize our costs.  Please join me in giving a large financial donation toward this effort for the homeless beginning this Sunday and note this in your giving.  We also want to give out coats to our homeless.  Please bring clean and slightly worn coats and drop them off this 2nd and 3rd Sunday so that we may give to God's people in need.
 
Let us continue to pray for our bereaved families, those sick and convalescing at home and in nursing homes, as well as our world and one another.
