Parents and Grandparents- Youth Bible Study will be held tomorrow at 6:30pm.  Topic:  Being a Good Neighbor.  Scripture comes from 1 Thessalonians 5:12-15.
 
Adult Bible Study will be held at 12Noon and 7pm.  The adult lesson will continue the Holy Spirit coming from John 3:1-13.  

Fathers of Mt. Zion - as a token of love, a gift has been purchased for you from your Mt. Zion Church Family and we will ensure you receive it. 

Please listen carefully - as mentioned on Sunday, Sister Lillie Bell Swift, the sister of our member Mother Carrie Anderson,  and aunt to the six Swift siblings and many other nieces and nephews of the Swift family, passed away on Sunday.  Viewing for Sister Lillie Bell Swift will be held on tomorrow, Wednesday, June 23rd from 12 noon to 8pm at Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Home on 4347 Flat Shoals Pkwy, Decatur.  Her Homegoing Celebration will be held on Thursday June 24th at 1pm.  Mandatory and social distancing will be required.

Remember- we will go out next Saturday to feed the Homeless- so please plan to give an offering above your tithes and offerings in support of this effort.

Parents and Grandparents -Youth Church will be held in the morning at 10:00am and Adult Sunday School and Worship Service at 10:45am.  
Our Sunday School lesson will come from:  Matthew 8:23-27- “Delivered From Fear”
 
Tomorrow is 2nd Sunday- Communion Sunday.  For those who will not be joining us in the parking lot- please set aside a piece of bread or cracker and some juice- so that you may participate in the Lord’s Supper to remember His sacrifice and suffering He did for us.
 
We will go out to feed the homeless on 4th Saturday- June 26th.  I’m asking you to join me in giving a donation for the next two weeks above your tithes and offering so that we may meet our goal to feed 300 homeless men- women- boys and girls.
 
Also- we will have lots of perishable food items tomorrow.  Please take tomorrow for yourself and/or others in need or for those who can use it.
 
Let us
keep our member- Brother Jack Allen and his wife Rashun, and their son Christopher in our prayers.  Brother Allen's  mother, our former member, Evangelist Goss passed this morning. 
 
Also- let us continue to keep Sister Irene Swift and Sister Keisha Gibson in prayer.  Praise be to God- both are home from the hospital.  Let us continue to pray for our chairman- Deacon Williams- others who may be sick and convalescing at home- our bereaved families- as well as one another in our prayers.

I don't know how to thank you, Mt. Zion, for your congratulatory outpouring of love for my graduating with my Doctor of Ministry Degree.  Thanks to all of you who organized the celebration on Sunday and to each of you who gave your time, your gifts, your encouragement, your support, and most of importantly, for your prayers and the love you have shown throughout this doctoral journey.

Parents and Grandparents - Youth Bible Study will be held tomorrow at 6:30pm.  The lesson Topic: “The Trinity."  Scripture comes from Matthew 28:19.
 
Adult Bible Study will be held at 12Noon and 7pm.  The adult lesson will continue on “Forgiveness”, which comes from Mark 16:1-8. Please join me as I offer the remaining of the 8 Steps necessary to obey the command of Jesus on how we should act with regards to forgiveness toward and from one another.

On tonight- we will have our first 5th District Parent Body- GMBC Zoom meeting at 7pm.  Being members of the 5th District and my being President, I am asking you to join the meeting.  We will be using the same Zoom account information used for our Sunday and Wednesday Services. 
 
Parents and Grandparents- Youth Bible Study will be held tomorrow at 6:30pm.  The lesson will continue with a review from previous weeks and conclude tomorrow evening with the Lesson Topic: “Put On Your Full Armour; “The Sword of the Spirit”.  Lesson Scripture:  Ephesians 6:13-17
 
Adult Bible Study will be held at 12Noon and 7pm.  The adult lesson will continue on “Forgiveness”, which comes from Mark 16:1-8. Please join me as I offer 8 Steps necessary to combat the command Jesus require us to obey- “Forgiveness” towards one another.

Parents and grandparents, Children's Church will be held in the morning at 10am and Adult Sunday School and Worship Service at 10:45am.  Our Sunday School lesson will come from Isaiah 29:13-24 "Offering Hope for the Future."

Tomorrow is Mother's Day.  We will have a special tribute to our mothers.  In addition, we will have a special Mother's Day plant for all mothers.  If you are unable to be in the parking lot on tomorrow, arrangements are being made to ensure that all mothers receive their gift of love from their Mt. Zion family.

Tomorrow is also 2nd Sunday, Communion Sunday.  For those who will not be joining us in the parking lot, please set aside a piece of bread or cracker and some juice so that you may participate in the Lord's Supper to remember His sacrifice and suffering which He did just for us. 

We will have food boxes and plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit on tomorrow.

Please keep Sister Bessie Wallace and her family in prayer.  Her sister, Beverly Murden passed, and her Homegoing Celebration was this past Thursday.
 
Also, let us continue to pray for Sister Helen Buggs, their children, grandchildren, and the entire family in the passing of Deacon Thomas Buggs.  His Homegoing Celebration specifics are forthcoming.
