We are excited that Rev. Imari Jeter-Wilson will be joining the Mt. Zion musical team.  He has been asked to direct and play for the Mt. Zion Ensemble.  He will begin tomorrow morning in preparation of the Ensemble singing this Sunday and going forth on other occasions.  Therefore, I am asking all Ensemble choir members and any other choir members who desire to be a part of the Ensemble to be at rehearsal tomorrow morning at 11:30am.  I am asking our male choir members to join the Ensemble as well. Please be advised that the Church's parking lot is being used and will be used until next Wednesday, February 7th by a Poduction Company, On Monday and Tuesday, they will utilize the interior of the Church as they film in the neighborhood.

Tomorrow and Sunday, the parking lot will be available for our use. For those who have business at the Church this upcoming week, spaces near the Church van will be available for your parking.

Youth Coordinators are asking parents, grandparents and all responsible for our children to please bring them out on tomorrow at 1:00pm, again 1:00pm, as we prepare them to participate each Sunday for our Black History Month Observance.

In the morning, we will not have Adult Sunday School or Children's Church; however, we will recognize our New Members during the 9:30-10:30am hour. All Auxillary Leaders are asked to present your Ministry to the New Members in 3-5 minutes and apprise them briefly of your responsibilities. It will be an opportunity to solicit their gifts for your Ministry.

Also, let us come out and witness Baptism on tomorrow morning promptly at 10:45. The Grant family of 5 will be baptized and we are excited and grateful about having each one of them with our Mt. Zion family.

We will also give out scholarships to our college students, Matthew and Savannah.

Adult Bible Study will be held at 12 noon and 7pm.  We will continue our lesson on “Faith” from James 2:14-26.  Again, I ask the question, “Can your “faith” be trusted by God- when it is tested by God? Join us and let us study together.

Tomorrow is Youth and Scholarship Sunday.  Please come prepared to support our Scholarship Ministry as well as wear your Mt. Zion T-shirt or religious paraphernalia to show unity in support of our Youth.
 
Also, it is Christmas time again and you know my desire.  So- please join me and bring a financial gift tomorrow or next Sunday or both, so that we may bless our non-staff members.  These are the people who have consistently worked throughout the year to ensure that the Church is operational and has been available for our use every day.
 
I regret to inform you that Demetria Cameron, the niece of Sister Betty Tucker has passed.  Also, Mother Mary Fowler, the aunt of Dr. Shirley Reid passed.  Let us keep Sister Tucker, Dr. Reid, other recently bereaved families, the Rice, Ruger, and Bright families in our prayers.

Let us keep Kevin, the son of Sister Maryann Smith, who is in the hospital, Keisha, the daughter of Sister Nell Cooley, who has been discharged and is at home, Deacon Cotton, his wife Sister Cotton, our Chairman, Deacon Williams, his wife Dr. Williams, Sister Carroll, their families and other sick members in our prayers. Please be advised that Brother Frank Thompson Jr., brother of our member, Brother Larry Thompson, and nephew of Mother Jeannete Wright and Sister Joann Cash, cousin to Deacon Slaton and and Sister Rice has passed. A memorial service was held for him on yesterday. Let us keep this family, as well as the family of Brother Jessie Rosser, and other bereaved families, our world and oneanother in our prayers.

Please be advised that Mother Buelah Mae Rosser, the mother of our member Brother Jesse Rosser passed. The viewing is being held until 7pm at Rucker Shelton Funeral directors, 2199 Candler Rd, Decatur. The Homegoing Celebration will be held in the morning at 11am at Antioch Baptist Church North, where the Rev. Kenneth Alexander is Pastor.

We will go out to feed the homeless tomorrow at 8am. If you would like to help with final preparations, please be at the church at 7 in the morning.

Youth Church and Adult Sunday School will be held Sunday morning at 9:30. The lesson, “Freedom From Expectations” will come from Acts 15:1-11.
