*Mind, Body, Spirit* = Wellness
November 2026
There are many health observances in the month of November: National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month, Lung Cancer Awareness Month, and American Diabetes Month, but we will focus on National Family Caregivers Month.
This month we honor those who give their time, their strength, their patience, and their hearts to care for loved ones in their home. Caregiving is not just a responsibility - it is a ministry, a calling, and a reflection of God’s love in action.
Family Caregivers often pour out so much that they forget to pour back into themselves. They show up day after day, sometimes tired, sometimes overwhelmed, but always committed. And while caregiving is beautiful, it can also be physically demanding and emotionally draining.
Caregivers - your health matters too:
Take time to rest your body. Sit down, breathe deeply, stretch, or step outside for a moment of fresh air. Remember, you do not have to carry everything alone. Ask for help when you need it.
Caregivers often skip meals or eat on the go, but your body needs strength. Choose foods that provide needed fuel - fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and plenty of water. Hydration keeps your mind sharp and your body steady.
God never intended for any of us to walk through life isolated or overwhelmed. The Word reminds us in Isaiah 40:29, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” Caregivers, God sees you. God honors you. And God promises to strengthen you.
Praying for *Mind, Body and Spiritual* wellness to you,
The Mt. Zion Health and Wellness Ministry
