Due to the 5th District Annual Session, which ends tonight and concludes with the President’s Address at 7pm , we will not have Youth or Adult Bible Study today.  To view the Service online, go to clarkstonfbc.org
 
The Adult choir will sing for Mother Lewis’ Homegoing Celebration on Saturday.  The Ensemble will sing for 4th Sunday’s Worship Service, and rehearsal will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday afternoon.

    I regret to inform you that our dearly beloved Mother, Mother Bettye Lewis has passed.  Her Homegoing Celebration is currently scheduled at Mt. Zion, next Saturday, August 23rd at 11:00am.
     
    Let us keep her daughter, Danielle and the rest of the Lewis family in our prayers.
     
    Again, asking the women of Mt. Zion to come out tomorrow morning at 11:30 to rehearse for the Women’s Day Celebration Choir to sing on Sunday.

    I pray you will log in and attend Bible Study today- adults: 12Noon and 7:00 pm, and our Youth at 6:30 pm.

    Our Women’s President Sister Livsey, Vice-President Sister Turner, and the Women’s Ministry are excited about the upcoming Women’s Day Celebration on Sunday, August 17th at 10:45 am.  They have planned a phenomenal program, and a dynamic Spirit-filled Minister will provide the Message.
     
    In preparation for the music on Sunday, I am asking the women of Mt. Zion to join our Women’s Day Celebration Choir.  Please come out on Saturday at 11:30 am for rehearsal.  Again, rehearsal for the Women’s Day Celebration Choir will be held Saturday at 11:30 am.  We want as many women as possible to unite on this special day to celebrate and sing praises to the Lord.
     
    Also, the 5th District Annual Session will be held next week, Monday, August 18th through Wednesday, August 20th, 7 pm nightly.  Laymen, Women’s Night, and the Parade of Churches will be held Tuesday night. If you plan to attend, please contact Sister Livsey or Deacon Rice by this Thursday at 6 pm.

    Tomorrow is Youth Sunday. Our Youth Speaker will be Sis. Savannah Clark. Also, we will recognize our graduates and retirees. Please wear your graduation regalia. This past week Bro. E.J. Turner attended the GMBC Congress of Christian Education and participated in the Oratorical Contest, and won second place. We are so proud of him, and will get an opportunity to hear his speech on tomorrow. Please bring an offering for our Scholarship Ministry as our college students are preparing to return to school next month. Also, our students will prepare to return to school. Please bring an offering for our back-to-school supply give-a-way for our youth. The event will be held on 1st Sunday, August 3rd.

    Let us continue to pray for Dr. Dorothy Williams and the Williams family, the Swift, Woods, Cash, Nelson, Slaton, and other bereaved families, as well as our sick members convalescing at home and in nursing homes.

    Please be advised that Mother Betty Lewis was admitted to the hospital and remains there, as well as our Chairman, Deacon Williams.  Both are undergoing further treatment and observation.  Also, Mother Delores Buggs, the Mother of our Secretary Minister Mia Buggs and Pastor Brian Buggs, has been hospitalized and remains in the hospital.  Let us continue to pray for Deacon Williams, his wife, Dr. Williams, Mother Lewis, Mother Buggs, and their families, other sick members convalescing at home and in Nursing Homes, our WORLD, and one another in our prayers.
     
    Let us continue to pray for the family of Sister Terika Cash-Woods, whose Service is planned for Saturday, July 19th, 11:00am at Mt. Zion.  Further specifics of her Service and Brother Garry Nelson, the brother of Sister Wanda Slaton, are forthcoming. Let us keep the Cash, Woods, Nelson, Slaton, and other bereaved families in our prayers. 
     
    Sunday is 2nd Sunday, Communion Sunday.  Please join us in person or virtually for the Worship Service and the Lord’s Supper. 
     
    As a reminder, you may join us every Sunday for adult Sunday School via the Church’s Zoom account at 9:30 am.
